Students at the Academy of Hospitality and Tourism (AOHT) will be instilled with the values, skills, knowledge, and competitive edge to succeed in all aspects of life. This begins with our core values:

H igh Expectations
In addition to state required courses, students have many opportunities to get college ready and even in earn college credit, through our SAT preparatory classes, Advanced Placement Courses, and our on and off-site college courses. We connect students directly with college registrar’s offices and scholarship opportunities, in order to maximize student options.
Students will also have the opportunity to take advantage of two Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs in Culinary Arts and Hospitality and Tourism. Students learn and practice their skills in our professional grade kitchen and show off their creations in our in house restaurant. They will also learn the business aspect in classes such as marketing and entrepreneurship, and all students, who successfully complete the program will earn a paid internship at one of our many partner sites throughout NYC.
We also, believe in fostering a healthy competitive spirit through our House Competition. All students are divided into four teams Princeton, Harvard, Stanford and Brown, and will be on that team for their entire high school career. There are a wide variety of competitions, and ways to earn points for your house, including dodge ball, basketball, spelling bee, talent, attendance, academics, cook-off, hospichallenge, and field. After all the points are added up the winning house is rewarded with an all expense paid trip to Holiday Hill Resort.
